Our Foundation supported the initiative ran by the municipality of Sassuolo aiming to raise awareness among young people about important current issues including bullying and cyberbullying.
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group worked with the Municipality of Sassuolo as the only sponsor of the event targeting young students in the first and second years of high school, entitled “Navighiamo sicuri nella rete e… nella vita!” (“Surfing safely on the web... and in life!”).
The event, held on 21 February at 9.30 at the Pala Paganelli in Sassuolo, aimed to raise awareness among young people for the correct use of the Internet, social media and the digital devices they use, informing them of the risks they may encounter. The main topics concerned soliciting by sex offenders, bullying, cyberbullying and the misappropriation of sensitive data.
Strongly promoted by the Mayor, the Councillor for Education and the Commander of the Municipal Police Force, the event included interventions by the criminologist Roberta Bruzzone, Vice-Chairman of the charity organisation La Caramella Buona that has been working with women and children who are victims of violence for many years.
Supporting this event, our Foundation shows once again its concrete commitment to a better future, promoting initiatives and disseminating a culture of prevention and awareness of topics that are increasingly important for the health and safety of young people.
