Save the Children - Light up the Future

Iris Ceramica Group is supporting Save the Children’s “Light up the Future” campaign, promoting the redevelopment of publicly abandoned places in the most disadvantaged areas of Naples and Palermo.

Save the Children - Light up the Future

In a world experiencing a dramatic increase in inequality, solidarity can and should be considered an advanced form of redistribution of resources in favor of the most vulnerable.
Where there is conflict, poverty and other distressing situations, it is the children who are most affected by the adverse consequences. Iris Ceramica Group is therefore supporting the “Light up the Future” campaign by Save the Children. Founded in 1919, today it is one of the largest independent international charities. Active in 125 countries, its programs support education, respond to crises, protect against abuse and exploitation, and combat poverty.
The purpose of this initiative is to give publicly abandoned places back to the children, especially in the most disadvantaged neighborhoods in our cities. In these areas, Save the Children is creating Points of Light, new education centers especially for families and children to take advantage of study support, artistic and musical workshops, as well as access to new technology, educational, pediatric and legal advice. Iris Ceramica Group’s contribution will go first of all to Points of Light in Palermo and Naples. In these centers, children from 6 to 16 can attend workshops in art, sports and exercise, and responsible use of media, as well as taking advantage of library and educational support.
The assistance provided to Save the Children reflects our commitment to social responsibility which the Foundation continues to promote for the well-being of the community.
