The Foundation has supported the summer campaign held by Porta Aperta, which provided around 5,000 showers to people in need in the city of Modena.
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group – recently recognised as a Third Sector Entity (ETS) – supported the summer initiative “Posso farmi una doccia?” promoted by Porta Aperta. A project centred around a simple, everyday yet essential gesture, dedicated to people in need in the city of Modena.
Since 1978, Porta Aperta has been working daily to overcome poverty and promote social inclusion, inspired by the values of hospitality and solidarity. The association fosters reintegration pathways in collaboration with local services, engages the Modena community in shared support initiatives, and advocates for a more just and inclusive society.
Thanks also to the aid of the Foundation, around 5,000 showers were provided to approximately 120 people who, during the warmest months, found in Porta Aperta a welcoming place to refresh, connect and start anew. This practical, simple but vital assistance made it possible to respond with dignity and compassion to the rising demand over the summer. A first step towards developing new relationships and embarking on a path out of marginalisation, thanks to the listening, guidance and help provided by experts and volunteers.
By supporting this project, Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group reaffirms its partnership with Porta Aperta and to all the people that the association welcomes and assists every day. A tangible sign of the Group's attention to the community and the local area.
