Our Foundation supports Refettorio Modena, the project offering hospitality, food aid and support to the fragile and needy.
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Groupis one of the supporters of the Refettorio Modena project run by Food for Soul, the association founded by Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore, with the partnership of Fondazione Auxilium Modena.
Refettorio Modena is a completely renovated space in Via Leodoino Vescovo 15, designed to showcase the unexpressed potential of what surrounds us through a programme of hospitality, food aid and support to the fragile and needy.
The project aims to collect surplus food and products nearing their expiry date and turn them into nourishing meals to serve to people living in conditions of social vulnerability and isolation, encouraging their reintegration through vocational and artistic training courses, in addition to the precious work of the volunteers who build relations with the guests.
Through a network of global partners, the Food for Soul organisation manages refectories around the world using the power of beauty, the value of hospitality and the quality of ideas as tools for driving social change.
The meals are made using ordinary ingredients with a view to reducing waste and raising awareness among stakeholders on the topic of recycling.
The support of Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group to the project demonstrates its commitment to social issues, with particular attention to our local community, building a better future together.
