Our Foundation supports the CEFA project promoting bee-keeping activities in Kenya and Mozambique.
In 2023, Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group supports CEFA Onlus, the European Committee for Training and Agriculture: the NGO that has been working to reduce worldwide hunger and poverty since 1972. CEFA aims to actively contribute to sustainable development, running initiatives that ensure the growth of a community, greater well-being and resilience to climate change, stimulating the participation of local populations to allow them to become the protagonists of their own development.
In particular, on the African continent, CEFA runs activities linked to bee-keeping in the areas of West Pokot in Kenya and Caia in Mozambique. In 2023, the activities in Mozambique focus on the town of Ndoro, a traditional honey-producing area, aiming to distribute hives and bee-keeping kits to groups of producers. In Kenya, where women and young people are the largest population segment in the work force, the activities focus on training and the supply of carpentry equipment for the construction of modern hives.
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group’s support to the CEFA Onlus project demonstrates our concrete and constant commitment to building a better future through sustainable development, solidarity and respect for human rights.
