The Foundation's commitment to local well-being and biodiversity continues thanks to the bees hosted in the “heart of the city”.
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group continues to work with Apicoltura Urbana, contributing to local well-being and sustainable development by protecting species that risk extinction.
Spring is the season of the bees: after surviving the winter on the stocks produced the previous year, they wait for flowers to blossom to gather the new nectar and turn it into honey. A special time when the balance binding flowers and pollinators also provides food for others.
In this phase too, Apicoltura Urbana’s specialist beekeepers will take care of the 9 hives adopted by the Group, located in the green areas around the Presidency and our companies, monitoring their state of health up to the time when the honey they produce can be harvested.
Beekeeping in the highly industrialised areas of the ceramic district is part of our constant commitment to building a better future and protecting the environment by safeguarding our local biodiversity.
