Our Foundation supports the Artforlife.it project that stems from a love of art, the mountains, the moral heritage of Nelson Mandela and the defence of women's rights.
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group supported the first edition of Trek4Mandela International, the project developed by Artforlife.it in partnership with the Imbumba Foundation and with the patronage of Cortina d’Ampezzo. A noble initiative that stems from a love of art, the mountains, the moral heritage of Nelson Mandela and the defence of women's rights.
The project took the participants trekking to one of the three peaks of the Tofane mountains overlooking the park in Cortina d’Ampezzo. The day aimed to raise funds for needy girls in Africa. In particular, the funds raised will be used to finance a social-health education programme for young girls as, according to UNICEF, the education and emancipation of girls can literally save millions of lives.
For the occasion, the ANFFAS Sassuolo group taking part in the Quarto Fuoco project created the ceramic "walking symbol" to be hung on the participants’ backpacks during the trek.
The support of Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group for this project, targeting young women, underlines our social commitments, aiming to inspire future generations to cooperate for a fairer, righter and more inclusive society.
