Our Foundation supports the ActionAid project preventing and tackling socio-economic poverty in some of the provinces hit by the 2016 earthquake.
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group is supporting ActionAid in the RETI Riattivazione- Empowerment- Territorio -Innovazione project aiming to fight poverty and social exclusion in the provinces of Rieti, Ascoli Piceno and Macerata, hit by the earthquake in Central Italy in 2016. The main purpose of the project is to prevent and tackle socio-economic poverty, with special attention on young girls and women in situations of social and economic vulnerability.
Opening help desks and offering inclusion grants, the project aims to provide concrete support to the people concerned. The help desks are a safe place where people can express their needs and receive support in identifying the best solutions for their situation. The inclusion grants, on the other hand, offer economic support to cover the costs of participation in vocational training courses, transport and other paid services.
With the support of our Foundation, ActionAid will be able to implement and extend the project activities, reaching a larger number of people and offering them the possibility to take part in social inclusion initiatives with a view to fostering their independence. This cooperation demonstrates the importance of solidarity and shared commitment in fighting social inequalities, for a fairer future.
