A new phase on the horizon, centered around sustainability, inclusion, and social beauty. A project growing alongside the city.
In 2025, Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group renews its commitment to Refettorio Modena, the Food for Soul project that offers a program of hospitality, food assistance, and support for the most vulnerable and in-need individuals.
Located in the heart of Modena’s historic center, Refettorio Modena is one of twelve initiatives in the global Food for Soul network, founded by Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore. It stands out for its unique ability to combine food recovery, hospitality, and social inclusion. At the heart of the project is the community itself: volunteers, public institutions, companies, and citizens working together to transform a simple meal into a gesture of care and dignity.
In just one year, the initiative has made a real impact and built meaningful connections within the Modenese community: 4,529 meals were served to 540 guests over 72 evenings, thanks to the contribution of 198 volunteers, and more than 9 tons of food were recovered. Now, Refettorio Modena is entering a new phase of growth, launching new inclusive formats and initiatives designed to meet emerging community needs and amplify the project's social value.
Fondazione continues to support Refettorio Modena to help foster real, positive change by promoting shared values such as solidarity, sustainability, and the beauty of everyday actions.
