The project’s final report shows how successful and engaging the Active Hero educational experience was, also for the teachers of the schools involved.
Active Hero, the Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group project run with the association La Lumaca for the school year 2022/2023, turned out to be a great success. A full and engaging educational project that captured the interest and hearts of over 575 students from 26 classes of 8 schools in the municipalities of Sassuolo, Fiorano Modenese and Castellarano.
The four experiential workshops "Healthy Diet", "Laughing", "Outdoor life" and "Movement", supported by innovative contents and methods, fascinated the young students and were a precious educational resource that allowed them to learn with a practical, engaging approach.
The teachers’ enthusiasm was clear, as all 24 satisfaction questionnaires gathered, out of a total of 26 classes involved in the projects, indicated a positive outcome. The results also demonstrated the interest in increasing the length of the workshops, given the children's great interest, further developing some topics relating to "the water cycle", "Artistic workshops", "Recycling/reuse", "Nature and art" and "Environmental sustainability" which can be covered in the coming school years.
The Active Hero project demonstrates the commitment of our Foundation in promoting the passion for learning and environmental protection among the younger generations. The Foundation is working on new educational activities, in line with the requests received from the teachers, continuing to foster increasing environmental awareness among the students in our local community.
