The ninth Next Landmark international online contest, promoted by Floornature architecture and design portal and the Iris Ceramica Group Foundation, is officially open.
“An educational garden in Fiorano Modenese” is the title of the new ideas contest which invites young architects and designers to redesign external areas at “Casa Coccapani” nursery school, in Fiorano Modenese, in the province of Modena (IT).
The project is not confined to the design of outdoor areas for children, but requires greater, more reasoned reflection on the relationship between the individual and their surroundings as a device for promoting social cohesion and well-being.
The fundamental theme is the environmental quality of the areas, even more crucial at a formative age especially when developing self-awareness and an understanding of a person’s role in their surroundings.
Open to all young creative designers who graduated between 2010 and today, the free to enter contest will close on 30 May 2020. The winner’s prize is a scholarship for a Master’s degree in Sustainable Design at SOS - School of Sustainability, Bologna, Italy.
