From March 28 to April 8, the Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group is sponsoring the exhibition "Industria: 20 Nuove Architetture Italiane", one of the main events taking place at the ex Albergo Diurno in Modena during the IF Industria Festival Architettura.
Organized and promoted by the Ordine degli Architetti di Modena, IF Festival is a traveling event across the Emilia-Romagna region, with a specific focus on the provinces of Modena, Parma, Piacenza, Rimini, and Ravenna. The project's goal is to foster a new awareness of the importance of industrial spaces and their potential for transformation by studying the unique characteristics of each industrial district and encouraging dialogue between professionals and local communities.
This initiative emerges in a context of significant growth in regional industrial districts, which have experienced remarkable expansion in recent years thanks to innovation in the mechanical, ceramic, agri-food, textile, and biomedical sectors. IF Festival aims to enhance these realities through a program of exhibitions, workshops, and seminars, emphasizing sustainable design and the redevelopment of production areas.
Within this framework, the Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group—always committed to promoting culture, responsible architecture, and industrial sustainability—has chosen to support the initiative to highlight the value of innovative design. The exhibition "Industria: 20 Nuove Architetture Italiane" will showcase examples of industrial buildings that embody the evolution of Italian productive architecture, with the goal of spreading these best practices in future editions of the Festival.
The ex Albergo Diurno in Modena, selected as the exhibition venue, symbolically represents the transformation of urban and industrial spaces into new hubs of research and innovation. In this space, the exhibition will highlight the intersection of aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability—key themes for the Foundation.
IF Festival is thus a unique opportunity to reflect on the future of productive spaces, stimulating research and innovation in the field of industrial architecture. The support of the Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group for the exhibition reaffirms its commitment to promoting innovative, sustainable, and globally replicable industrial architecture.
