Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group is one of the signatories of the Monitor for Furniture Pact for the wooden furniture supply chain, part of the SDA Bocconi School of Management Sustainability Lab.
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group is taking part in the Monitor for Furniture Pact, the observatory of the SDA Bocconi School of Management Sustainability Lab. The project promotes sustainability in the Italian furniture supply chain through the creation of an ecosystem of companies working to reduce environmental and social impacts. The member companies undertake to pursue ambitious and concrete objectives, cooperating to improve effectiveness and efficiency in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) terms, creating common value throughout the material supply chain and fostering circularity.
The Furniture Pact was developed in a context in which ESG topics are becoming increasingly important, and represents an opportunity for growth and innovation for Italian companies in the furniture industry. Through cooperation, companies can not only improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their sustainability goals but can also create common value for the community and the environment. This inclusive and cooperative approach aims to offer common benefits and foster continual improvement in sustainable practices.
The Monitor for Furniture Pact is a major instrument aiming to monitor and support furniture companies in achieving sustainability objectives. It offers companies a platform for sharing best practices, assessing the progress made and identifying areas for improvement. In 2024, the chosen research topics prioritised decarbonisation and Scope 3 assessment, followed by the topic of double materiality. The decision to focus research on these topics in 2024 reflects the aim of providing furniture companies with specific, tailored tools for managing their sustainable transition.
Through its support to this initiative, Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group further strengthens its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, helping to build a more sustainable future for the furniture industry.
