Active Hero, the educational project promoted by Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group, celebrates two years of success in local schools. The final report highlights the positive results.
Run with the association La Lumaca, Active Hero is the project promoted by Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group offering a complete and engaging range of educational activities for our local schools. The project, which began in school year 2022/2023 and continued in 2023/2024, turned out to be a great success due to its ability to engage both children and teachers. The educational project captured the hearts of 1460 students from 64 classes of 13 schools in the municipalities of Sassuolo, Fiorano Modenese, Maranello and Castellarano. A total of 128 teachers took part in the project, which included 256 hours of classroom activities and 20 trips outdoors.
The four experiential workshops "Healthy Diet", "Laughing", "Outdoor life" and "Movement” - along with innovative contents and methods, fascinated the young students and were a precious education resource that allowed them to learn with a practical, engaging multi-disciplinary approach.
The Active Hero characters led students in a range of sensory activities and workshops to stimulate their creativity, curiosity and sense of responsibility towards others and the environment. The teaching materials, including comics, t-shirts to decorate, customised notepads and notebooks and a specific educational portal supported both the parents and the teachers running the project.
The success of Active Hero bears witness to the commitment of our Foundation in promoting the passion for learning and environmental awareness among the younger generations.
