Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group stands alongside Amici di Emmaus, the Italian association created after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine to support the NGO Emmaus in Kharkiv. Emmaus is a non-profit organization committed to creating a space of welcome, friendship, and personal growth for young people with disabilities, orphans, and children displaced from conflict areas, fostering their integration and enhancing their individual potential. 

After the beginning of the war, part of Emmaus’s activities continued in Ukraine, while 113 people arrived in Italy, where activities and projects were reorganized to ensure continuity of support and inclusion. 

Among the initiatives, La Bottega di Emmaus is an artisan workshop hosted at the Politecnico di Milano – Bovisa, offering training in creative and manual activities for Ukrainian girls and boys with disabilities, with the aim of helping them develop skills and supporting their entry into the workforce. The project focuses on the art of sewing and aims to become a true social enterprise, always enhancing the potential and uniqueness of each individual. 

Fondazione supports Friends of Emmaus to promote inclusion, education, and independence pathways, contributing to offering concrete opportunities for growth and future development for the vulnerable young people involved in the association.
