THE INTERNATIONAL ART PRIZE FOR CERAMICS
THE INTERNATIONAL ART PRIZE FOR CERAMICS
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group promotes the first edition of the Prize celebrating ceramics in a path between art, culture, environment and society.
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group promotes the first edition of the International Art Prize devoted to ceramic production, born to bring people closer to the world of ceramics and to enhance both Italian and international talents, with a view to sustainable development that also preserves “ceramic know-how”.
The Prize has two sections: under 25, dedicated to learning of young talents, and over 25, focused on the development of artists and designers’ ideas. The Panel, composed by six authoritative members, including Federica Minozzi – CEO of Iris Ceramica Group – will award the final prize basing on criteria of originality, sustainability and technical, aesthetic and conceptual innovation. The winning works and best projects will be presented at the Flagship Store in Milan and may also be displayed in the Group’s international Stores.
The International Art Prize also becomes a tool for Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group to promote major projects that focus on art and culture as the keystones of an increasingly inclusive and fair society.

We are proud to announce the names of the winners of the International Art Prize for Ceramics, an initiative promoted by our Foundation aiming to enhance worthy projects focusing on art and culture while preserving “ceramic know-how”.
– The prize in the under-25 section goes to Daniele Donadio for his installation “Clouds”, a work uniting the more intrinsic characteristics of matter with a poetic tribute to the film director Akira Kurosawa.
– The prize in the over-25 section goes to Eloisa Gobbo for her project “GEOMETRICAL ISOMETRIC PATTERN IN YELLOW, RED AND BLUE, MORESQUE STYLE WITH DASHED STRIPES AND SPHERES”. The artist demonstrates the ability to integrate the latest technological solutions on Artificial Intelligence within her studio practice, indicating new possible ways for traditionally handmade crafts.
The two winners of this first edition were selected by the jury on the basis of the criteria of originality, sustainability and technical, aesthetic and conceptual innovation. A result that fully satisfies the constant interest of the Foundation and the Group in new technologies and the historical tradition underlying our know-how.
On 23 November, our Showroom in Milan hosted the presentation of the winning works of the International Art Prize for Ceramics, organised and promoted by Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group to highlight and recognise the value of unique art and design projects.
Speeches were given at the prize-giving ceremony by Irene Biolchini (professor and curator of the Prize), Tommaso Corvi Mora (member of the panel, gallery owner and artist) for the winners in the two categories:
- Eloisa Gobbo, awarded the Over-25 Prize for her work Geometrical Isometric Pattern In Yellow, Red And Blue, Moresque Style With Dashed Stripes And Spheres, thanks to her skill in integrating the most recent technological Artificial Intelligence solutions in her artistic practices in her studio.
- Daniele Donadio, winner of the Under-25 Prize with Clouds, an installation “combining the most intrinsic features of matter and a poetic tribute to the film director Akira Kurosawa”.
The meeting was an opportunity for inspiration and debate, bringing people closer to the ceramics world and supporting new forms of creative and cultural research to build a future in which knowledge and consciousness can be the guardians of progress.
