FONDAZIONE IRIS CERAMICA GROUP FOR THE ITALIAN WHEELCHAIR TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Fondazione Iris Ceramica Groupwas the Official Sponsor of the Italian Wheelchair Tennis Championships, a major national sporting event hosted by Sporting Club Sassuolo. Top-level athletes took part in the event, organised by the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, demonstrating their extraordinary technical skills and strong determination.
Wheelchair tennis, an inclusive and accessible sport, allows people with motor disabilities to play top-level tennis. The sport stands out for its ability to underline positive values such as inclusion, resilience and determination. Athletes competing in wheelchair tennis are a great example of how the passion for sport can overcome any barrier, showing how with effort and dedication we can achieve extraordinary results.
For the occasion, the young people of the Quarto Fuoco project run by Anffas Sassuolo prepared hand-decorated ceramic gadgets for all the participants and a special prize for Luca Arca, the athlete from the Terranova Club who won the Absolute Italian wheelchair tennis championships hosted by Sporting Club Sassuolo. This initiative brought a touch of uniqueness to the event, celebrating local handicrafts and social inclusion also through art and creativity.
The support of Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group for this event is part of its commitment to promoting inclusion and well-being through sport. Sport fosters integration and improves people’s quality of life, helping to build a fairer and more ethical society.
